Prohibition is Taking a Hike out of Here
It is December 5, 1933. People are partying, drinking, smoking, and outright rejoicing and welcoming back of alcohol. Crime rates started to decrease, and getting ethanol was less of a hassle. You could now make, buy, and sell alcohol legally. Why you ask? It is this day that the Twenty-first Amendment was ratified repealing the Eighteenth Amendment causing the end of Prohibition in America.
Herbert Hoover made it clear how he felt about prohibition and the repeal
I do not favor the repeal of the 18th Amendment. I stand, of course, for the laws efficient, vigorous and sincere enforcement of the laws enacted thereunder. Whoever is chosen President has under his oath the solemn duty to pursue this course.
